Zangla Information, Kargil, Jammu And Kashmir
Zangla lies to the north of Zanskar at a distance of about 35 kms. and is at the end of a long enough road from Padum. It is with its old castle, a small chappel, old nunnery, old monastery in the nearby village of Tsn-zar with exquisite frescoes. These are a few places of interest. Zangla is a nodal point on the popular Padum-Stongdey-Zangla-Karsha-Padum round trip. It is also the take off point for the Padum-Lamayuru and the Padum-Markha vallet treks.
