Visit To Sunheri Masjid And Fatehpuri Masjid
Sunheri Masjid is next to the old police station. In 1739, Nadir Shah, the Persian invader who carried off the Peacock Throne, stood on the roof of this mosque and watched while his soldiers conducted a bloody massacre of Delhi's inhabitants. The western end of Chandni Chowk is marked by the Fatehpuri Masjid, which was erected in 1650 by one of Shah Jahan's wives.
