Visit To Rajpath
The Rajpath (kingsway) is another focus of Lutyen's New Delhi. It is immensely broad and is flanked on the either side by ornamental ponds. The Republic Day parade is held here every 26th January and millions of people gather to enjoy the spectacle.
At the eastern end of Rajpath lies the India Gate while at the western end lies Rashtrapati Bhavan, now the President's residence, but built origianlly for the Viceroy. The two large Secretariat buildings, The North and south blocks, flank it and these three buildings sit upon a small rise known as Raisina Mills.
