Rail Transport Museum is a must for all rail buffs. This museum at Chanakyapuri will be of great interest to anyone fascianted by India's exotic collection of railway engines. Its collection includes 26 vintage locomotives - 17 carriages and salons including the oldest locomtoive, an 1855 steam engine, that is still working, the viceregal Dining Car (1889) and the Prince of wales Saloon (1876) and the Maharaja of Mysore's saloon of seasoned teak and laced with gold and ivory.

The museum also houses the skull of an elephant that charged at mail train. A toy train chugs around the ground throughout the day.
Timings : 9.30 a.m. - 5.30 p.m. (Tuesday to Sunday)
