Pahalgam Tourist Places Information, Jammu And Kashmir
Kolahol Glacier : 36 kms, Pahalgam to Aru, pony track. The path winds through woods to the meadow of Aru. There the river Lidder disappears and reappears after about 27 mts.
Mamlesvara : 1.5 kms. Down the river from the bridge, there is a small ancient stone temple consecrated to Shiva Malesvara. The temple was built before the 12th century AD, though the name os the builder is unknown. There is a stone-lined tank, about 1.1 sq.mt in dimension.
Tarsar Lake : 35kms. Via Aru and Lidderwatt, the lake has beautiful surroundings. The route crosses graceful flower meadow. Marsar, another lake can be visited after crossing a 243 mts high ridge.
