Guru Nanak Jayanti:
The birthday of Guru Nanak,the founder of Sikhism and Guru Gobind Singh,the last Guru are celebrated with prayer readings and the processions of the Guru Granth Sahib the holy book are taken out.

Christians celebrate the anniversary of the birth of Christ on 25th December.this festival is widely celebrated in India especially in Goa and Kerala,but with a tinge of local flavours.
Id-Ul-Zuhura:
This Muslim festival commemorates the sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim,who willingly agreed to kill his son at the behest of Lord.
Muharram:
The 10-day Muslim festival commemorates the martyrdom of Mohammed’s grandson – Imam Hussain.
Ramadan:
This 30-day dawn to dusk fast is the most auspicious Muslim festival.It was during this month that the Prophet Mohammed had the Quran revealed to him in Mecca.This festival generally occurs between November and December,but can also fall in early January.
Id-Ul-Fitr:
Festivites mark the end of Ramadan,the Muslim month of fasting.
