Lahori Gate is the name of the main gate of Red Fort because of the fact that it faces towards Lahore, now in Pakistan. It is from the magnificent Lahori Gate of the palace that the Prmime Minister of India addresses the country and unfurls the national flag every year on the 15th August - The Independence Day.
