Akhnoor: Akhnoor is a picnic spot located on the river Chenab.Regular bus services operate from Jammu.
Kud: Kud is a popular resort situated on the Jammu-Srinagar highway, at an altitude of 1738 mts. Accomodation is available at the toruist Bungalows of Jammu & Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation as well as several private hotels.
Batote: Batote is a resort located at an altitude of 1560 mts on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway and straddles the forested slopes of the Patnitop mountain range, overlooking the spectacular lie of the Chenab gorge. Accomodation is available in huts, Tourist Bungalow and dormitory of the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation.
Baba Dhansar: Baba Dhansar is a beautiful picnic spot situated at 65 kms. from Jammu on way to Salal dam. A huge spring gushes out of the mountain side and forms a number of small water falls before flowing into the holy Banganga. Next to the spring in a small grove in the rock face, there is a naturally formed Shivling on which droplets of water fall all the year around. A big fair is held here during Shivratri.
Salal Dam and Lake: Salal Dam is located at 95 kms from Jammu to the west of ther holy Shrine of Vaishnodevi. With an installed capacity of 400 mw of electricity, this is the largest Hydroelectric project commisioned in the state so far. The lake formed behind the dam is 33 kms. long . The dam site can be visited with the permission from project authorities.
Jajjar Kotli: Jajjar Kotli is a tourist complex located at about 35 kms. on the national highway which leads towards Srinagar. It is built on the banks of Jajjar rivulet. The crystal clear cool waters of Jajjar attraxct picnickers in large droves during summer. Accomodation is provided by Jammu & Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation.
Krimchi: Krimchi is a site of three oldest temples of Jammu and is on the way to Sudh Mahadev Mantalai. the architecture of the temples shows distinct Greek influences. Pancheri, a hill resort is at a short distance from here.
Kishtawar High Altitude National Park: This unique national park is a home to some rare animal and bird species.
Sanasar: Sanasar is situated 19 kms. from Patnitop and slightly away from the national highway. It looks qas though it has been scooped out of the earth in the shape of a cup , fringed by gigantic conifers. Its a place for a quite holiday. Accomodation include Huts, Tourist Bungalow and Dormitory.
