Safdarjang's Tomb is located at the eastern end of the Lodi road, open from sunrise to sunset and is relatively little visited. The Nawab of avadh built the Tomb in 1753-54 for his father, besdie the small Safdarjang airfield. this is one of the last examples of Mughal architecture before the final remnants of the great empire collapsed.
The tomb stands on high terrace surrounded by an extensive walled garden. It makes a pleasant retreat from the urban bustle. It is a short walk from Lodi Garden.
