Parliament House is located to the northeast of the viceroy's house. It is aslo called as Sansad Bhavan. Baker designed this and Luyens suggested that it be circular (173 mts diameter). Inside is the library and Legislative Assembly - Lok Sabha. Just oppostie the council House is the Rakabganj Gurudwara in Pandit Pan Marg.
This 20th century white marble shrine, which integrates the late Mughal and Rajasthani Style, marks the point where the headless body of Guru Tegh Bahadur - the ninth Sikh Guru was cremated in 1657. West of the Council House is the Cathedral Church of the redemption (1927 - 1935) and to its north the Italianate Roman Catholic Church of the sacred heart (1903 - 04), both conceived by henry Medd whose designs won architectural competitions.
