Jamai Masjid is located at a distance of nearly 5 kms from Srinagar. It was originally built by Sultan in 1400 AD and enlarged by his son, Zain-ul-Abidin. It is a very typical example of Indo – Saracenic architecture. It was destroyed thrice by fire and rebuilt each time. The mosque of the present day was repaired during the reign of Dogra Maharaja Pratap Singh.
